Job Description
The Sales Assistant role is to provide excellent customer service, maximize sales and maintain store standards. Work individually and as part of a team to ensure customers have a seamless shopping experience and follow operational procedures and minimize stock loss.
Roles and Responsibilities
Customer Service and Sales
- Be aware of and respond to customer needs in a friendly and professional way.
- Follow till procedures to ensure smooth checkout.
- Use selling techniques to increase transaction value and store turnover.
- Upsell and cross sell products and services to increase add on sales and repeat business.
- Build customer relationships and follow up after sales.
Store Presentation and Housekeeping
- Maintain and improve retail standards in sales areas, stockrooms and service areas.
- Ensure displays are looking good and updated with best sellers.
- Participate in daily store cleaning activities, windows, floors, stock and equipment.
Stock Replenishment
- Process deliveries and stock transfers as per company procedures.
- Check deliveries against supporting documents and resolve any discrepancies.
Stock Loss
- Follow company procedures to minimize stock loss, use of security equipment.
- Be aware and take corrective action to potential risks, report to store management when needed.
Personal Qualities
The candidate should have:
- A friendly and approachable face with a smile.
- Outgoing and talkative.
- Fashion sense to connect with customers.
- Persuasive and polite communication skills.
Performance Metrics
- Sales per employee and shop.
- Mystery shopping results.

Requirements
- Education: High School Certificate or above. Additional courses are an advantage.
- Experience: Previous sales experience is required.
- Skills: Quick learner, self starter and good communication skills.
- Language: Arabic and English (additional languages are an advantage).
- Must score 75% and above in the assessment test.
