Job Description

As a Safety Officer you will be responsible to:

Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare report to prevent recurrence.
Risk Assessments & Safety Audits: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Safety Policies & Procedures: Develop, implement and maintain safety policies and procedures as per company requirements.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance to local, state and federal safety regulations and company standards.
Safety Monitoring: Monitor safety metrics and analyze trends and take proactive measure to improve safety.
Employee Communication: Be the point of contact for safety queries and promote open communication on safety issues.
Emergency Preparedness: Conduct safety drills and emergency response exercises to be prepared for any unexpected events.
Industry Knowledge: Keep yourself updated with latest safety trends, legal requirements and best practices.
Safety Campaigns: Promote safety awareness through campaigns and initiatives involving all employees.

Requirements

Education:
Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related fields.
Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, BOSIET, IOSH, H2S Awareness, PTW, STCW, PST or SA Aramco Approval.
Experience:
5-10 years of experience in OH&S.
3-5 years of offshore safety experience is mandatory.
