Job Description

As a Houseman your main responsibility is to maintain cleanliness and order in designated areas, supporting the housekeeping team and guest satisfaction. You will respond to guest requests, organize supplies and maintain hygiene and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all housekeeping policies, procedures and service standards.
• Arrive on duty on time, well presented and in uniform as per company standards.
• Maintain all assigned areas spotless daily.
• Identify and report any broken or missing furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Respond to guest and management requests promptly and professionally.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide excellent service.
• Carry out scheduled cleaning in designated areas.
• Move and re-arrange furniture in guest areas and offices.
• Communicate with colleagues and other departments.
• Clean guest corridors, vacuum, dust and wipe surfaces.
• Clean elevator tracks and high traffic areas daily.
• Pick up and deliver guest laundry and toiletries.
• Manage rollaway beds, baby cribs and other guest amenities.
• Stock housekeeping closets with essentials and linens.
• Collect and distribute linens.
• Dispose of waste and maintain waste collection areas.
• Sweep and mop emergency staircases.
• Store housekeeping supplies.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, vacuum cleaners and cleaning tools.
• Deliver supplies to room attendants and collect used linens.
• Conduct linen, amenities and guest item inventory checks.
• Support other housekeeping duties such as turndown service and public area maintenance.
• Follow all housekeeping management instructions.

Requirements

• Housekeeping or hospitality experience an advantage.
• Physically able to lift, push and move heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Customer focused and professional attitude.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures.
