Job Title: Department Manager

Location: City Hypermarket, Al Kuwait, Kuwait
Industry: Retail

As a Department Manager you will be at the forefront of retail operations, leading a team to deliver great customer service, smooth day to day operations and high sales performance. This role includes inventory management, staff motivation and department goals alignment with Azadea’s standards.

1. Customer Service:

  • Greet and serve customers in a timely manner and to quality standards.

2. Operational Excellence:

  • Implement company policies to ensure department operations run smoothly.

3. Team Leadership:

  • Conduct daily team meetings to communicate goals and updates.
  • Provide on the job training, demonstrations and mentoring for staff development.
  • Plan weekly team schedules.
  • Conduct bi-annual department staff performance reviews.

4. Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels, manage inventory and reorder merchandise to ensure product availability.

5. Merchandising:

  • Manage product displays to drive sales and brand image.

6. Sales Growth:

  • Up-sell and cross-sell to achieve sales targets.
  • Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities.

7. Staff Management:

  • Set clear objectives, monitor performance and motivate team members.
  • Create a positive and culturally aware work environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in retail.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of retail processes and store operations.
  • Microsoft Office applications.
  • English language (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Product knowledge across departments.
